Erwin Wassenburg is the point of contact within Hacom Trading B.V. for questions about privacy and the processing of personal data.

We only process data that you give us yourself, or that is technically necessary to make the website work.

• Requests via the website (quotation, certificate or contact message): your name, company name, email address, phone number (if you enter it), your message and, for a quotation, the products, versions and quantities you selected.
• Contact by email or phone: the data you provide to us in doing so.
• Visit to the website: your IP address and information about your browser and device. We use the IP address briefly to limit abuse and spam (for example a maximum number of requests per visitor), and it may appear in technical log files of our hosting provider.
• Anonymous statistics: which products are clicked, what is searched for, in which language and when. We do not link this data to your IP address or to you as a person.

We do not process special categories of personal data or location data, and visitors cannot create an account or profile on the website. The website is intended for business relations and is not aimed at children; we do not knowingly collect data from persons under 16 years of age. If you believe a minor has left data with us, please contact us and we will delete it.

Hacom Trading B.V. processes your personal data for the following purposes:

• Handling your request or question and calling or emailing you about it, such as sending a quotation or a certificate. Legal basis: taking steps at your request prior to entering into an agreement, or our legitimate interest in business contact.
• Performing agreements and keeping our records, including invoicing. Legal basis: performance of the agreement and statutory retention obligations.
• Securing the website and preventing abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest.
• Improving our catalogue and search function using anonymous statistics. Legal basis: our legitimate interest.

Hacom Trading B.V. does not make decisions based on automated processing about matters that could have (significant) consequences for individuals. These are decisions taken by computer programs or systems, without a human being involved. We do not create profiles of visitors.

Hacom Trading B.V. does not keep your personal data for longer than necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data was collected. We keep requests and email correspondence for as long as needed for handling and subsequent contact. Data that we are legally required to retain, such as invoices and other accounting records, is kept for as long as the law prescribes. The anonymous statistics contain no personal data.

We do not sell your data. We only provide data to third parties if this is necessary for the performance of our agreement with you, to comply with a legal obligation, or to parties working on our behalf:

• Railway, for hosting our website and database (servers in the Netherlands);
• Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES), for sending email from the website.

We have made agreements with these processors; they process data solely on our instructions. If data ends up outside the European Economic Area in the process, we ensure appropriate safeguards, such as the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.

In addition, when you visit the site your browser loads content directly from Google: the fonts (Google Fonts) and the map showing our location (Google Maps). Google receives your IP address and technical information from your browser and may place cookies itself. Google is itself responsible for that processing; see Google’s privacy policy.

Our website does not use analytical or tracking cookies and does not show advertisements. Visitors only receive cookies that are necessary for the site to function; that is why we do not ask for consent with a cookie banner. Staff members who log in to the management environment receive functional cookies for their session and display settings.

The Google components mentioned above (map and fonts) may use cookies or similar techniques themselves. You can always refuse or delete cookies via your browser settings.

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to:

1. Restriction of the processing of your personal data.
2. Object to the processing of your personal data.
3. Data portability.
4. Withdraw any consent for data processing.

You can send a request to erwin@hacomtrading.com.

Important: To ensure that the request has been made by you, we may ask you to include a copy of your proof of identity. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN) to protect your privacy.

Hacom Trading B.V. responds as soon as possible, but within one month. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Hacom Trading B.V. takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification. The website uses a secure connection (HTTPS) and requests are only accessible to staff with a personal account. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or there are signs of misuse, please contact erwin@hacomtrading.com.

We may amend this privacy statement, for example if the website changes. The most recent version is always available on this page. Last updated: October 2026.
